The project is aimed at exchanging experiences between non-profit organizations and institutions operating in the area of adults and youth education and counseling as well as their students and staff.

Origin of the project:

The experiences of all CoMeth partners showed the following facts:

  • the growing need in demand in the field of parental awareness and engagement in their children’s education
  • growing ignorance about existing educational opportunities in spite of a wider access to modern media
  • unrealistic self-evaluation concerning required careers and abilities of children expressed by both children and their parents
  • little or no knowledge on existing educational offer both on a regional level as well as international one (problem of so called “educational jungle”)
  • lack of parents’ awareness in terms of responsibility concerning their children`s educational choices
  • link between educational and social background of parents and their attitude towards their children’s education
  • importance of the parents’ role in their educational choices

Taking the above into the consideration a strong need for project concerning good concepts and methods of an active parent work from the aspect of a possible education advice and educational planning arouse. All project partners possess required knowledge and experience in order to work on good solutions in terms of the above mentioned issues.


Objectives of the project:

Developed by ConSol non-profit GmbH from Dortmund, the project’s objective is to exchange experiences and ideas between all project’s partners with regards to concepts and methods of an active parental work in terms of the aspect of a possible educational advice and planning of the children’s education.

The ambition of the projects partners from Germany, Spain, Turkey and Poland is to establish a network of contacts resulting in the exchange of experiences and mutually benefiting from good practices developed by them in the course of social activity. Joint conferences are intended to develop new ways of working with parents, so that they are more likely to engage in the educational process of their children, as well as understand the importance of their role in choosing their career paths.

This should be achieved by undertaking the following actions:

  • organizing a number of mobilities in the form of workshops in all partner’s countries in order for them to compare concepts and methods of an active parents work and in result benefit from each other’s experiences
  • establishing a functional virtual communication platform for exchanging partners’ experiences
  • developing common innovative adult education and management practices, and encourage its widespread implementation
  • improving the quality of each partner’s experience in terms of good practices of parental involvement
  • possible implementation of good practices and working methods in each partner’s organization
  • improving the quality and amount of international co-operation between organizations lead by project partners
  • creating final product which would help to meet demands of the project’s objectives
  • learning cultural differences between each project partner’s countries
